My Great Change Hangover

SHARE

My great change hangover

Hooray! I am writing to you from my new office, in our new house, which is right in my beloved hometown.

This crazy year of moving constantly is done!

And wow, the clarity this settling down has given me. One of the results is a gloriously re-defined season of my podcast Allowed.

What happened in 2021

In 2021, my company Kickass Enterprises had our best year ever. We ran two group coaching programs, several leadership training programs, and some pro-bono mental health workshops for healthcare workers.

We launched a new website. We donated 1% of our top-line revenue to environmental non-profits as part of our membership in the 1% for the Planet Foundation.

We also added some elite coaching partners to our team who collaborate with me in coaching our founder-CEO clients and their executive teams.

And wow, our clients collectively raised hundreds of millions of funding and several 2-4xed their employee counts.

On the personal front, it was sheer chaos! Roy, the kids, and I encountered a series of home disasters, renovated twice, continued to navigate hybrid learning with my kids, moved three times, sold a house, bought a house, got vaccinated, partied our butts off all summer, finally reconnected with family, changed schools, got boosted, then….

Darn Omicron lockdown for the holidays.

Oh well!

More time to organize my closet, roast pumpkins, and record podcast episodes… free, inspiring private coaching sessions just for you.

Growth is awesome, and it can be exhausting.  Moving and changing is energizing, but sometimes you need to pause and take stock.

Change, no matter how positive, is time-consuming, unpredictable, and disruptive.

About halfway through the year, I got burnt out. (Just me?)

Truly, I have a hangover from all of this change. A chang-over?

It became clear recording my podcast while construction and kids were banging and laughing and clanging all around me was…. Not going to happen.

Another integrity adjustment was in order. So I took a hiatus to overhaul my podcast production and rethink things, integrating what I had learned with season 1.

BOOM!! As it always seems to be, when I paused and scaled back and listened…. I learned, and something awesome and new was born.

VOILA!!!!! I designed a BRAND NEW SEASON OF ALLOWED, all focused on becoming the high-integrity, high-performing creative leader of your own life.

A podcast for leaders who love to get things done

Season 2 is not just about listening to content and thinking about it. It’s about getting into ACTION. It’s designed to challenge and energize you so you can create results you never imagined were possible for you before.

This new season is where the rubber hits the road. It’s time to get down to the nitty-gritty and apply Season 1 conscious leadership concepts into your own life in a way that’s authentic, sustainable, and lasting.

Refresh your memory on these concepts before the launch of the new season here!

The first episode of Season 2 embraces the power of a blank slate and helps you to simplify your life and get back to a solid foundation. Some of the things you’ll learn by listening:

      • How to practice radical responsibility
      • When to renegotiate your agreements
      • The difference between naming and claiming your emotions
      • An integrative 3-step approach to decision-making
      • The trick to revolutionizing your executive team huddle

Each of these episodes builds on the foundational concepts revealed in Season 1 of Allowed, including:

Brick by brick, you will build the ultimate toolkit of leadership skills to strengthen every aspect of your life. This foundation will be the cornerstone of your conscious leadership and teach you it is possible to live and lead as your most authentic, genius self.

Subscribe to Allowed now in your podcast player – find links to all of them here.

I will be with you every step of the way, guiding you deeper into your mind, your soul, your own body, and helping you to shift mindsets or resistances that are not serving you.

I want to hear from you!

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Season 2. I believe it can help you become the most conscious and creative version of yourself you can be. The arc of these new on-demand coaching sessions can empower you to live fully engaged, unleash your true genius, and be the leader you were born to be.
